As an innovative and  academic excellent school, All Saints is committed to a strong Catholic Identity, partnership with parents, and academic excellence.  We are seeking a part-time Dyslexia Specialist for the 24-25 school year to join our team fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Job Summary:

The All Saints Dyslexia Specialist is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. The Specialist will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement targeted interventions and accommodations, monitor student progress, and promote best practices in dyslexia education.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
  • Act as a witness to the Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
  • Provide direct instruction to students with dyslexia using evidence-based interventions and multisensory teaching methods such as Orton Gillingham programs (Take Flight, MTA, etc…).
  • Collaborate with the counselor and teachers to develop and implement accommodations for students with dyslexia to be successful in the classroom. .
  • Assess students’ reading skills and monitor progress using appropriate screening and diagnostic tools.
  • Train and support teachers in implementing effective strategies and accommodations for students with dyslexia.
  • Provide resources and support to families of students with dyslexia, including information about dyslexia and related learning differences.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in dyslexia education and literacy instruction.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with other dyslexia specialists and educators.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Reading Education, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Licensed Dyslexia Specialist or eligible for certification (LDT, LDP, CALT).
  • Experience working with students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dyslexia, reading development, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for working with students with dyslexia and promoting a culture of inclusivity and support.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
